2016
Pinot Noir
Beamsville Bench
This is a new world expression of an old world varietal. The wine has all the complexity and character of an old world wine, but is followed by a cleanliness and brightness with a fresh fruit character suited to new world palates.
This youthful and savoury wine has great character and is supple in nature. On the nose, fresh notes of ripe raspberry and sour white cherry are complemented by a hint of cassis. Cherry and complex red fruits on the palate remain, alongside a pleasant minerality, expressed through the perfect amount of zest. Aging in French oak for 15 months, youthful tannins, great acidity and mature fruit on the finish make this a beautiful, food-friendly wine. This vintage is ready to drink now, but has great cellaring potential.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES
2016 was a beautiful vintage with abnormally consistent weather. Without any extremes in temperature, or any external pressures late in the growing season, the fruit thrived and was in excellent condition at harvest.
