Though Kew hasn't had a Merlot for a number of years, the 2019 vintage presented an ideal opportunity for a revisit. We strive to create wines expressive of our unique terroir, while always remaining true to the varietal character.

Though Kew has had Merlot vines for a number of years, the 2019 vintage presented an ideal opportunity for our winemaker to create our second vintage of Merlot.

Bright black cherry and dark plum on the nose deepen into sweet spice with a hint of spearmint. On the palate the concentrated fruit follows through and is complemented by a rich note of baker’s chocolate. Full body with ripe, structed tannin and a touch of smokiness, our 2019 Merlot has a long finish.
