2014
Heritage
Beamsville Bench
Heritage is a word synonymous with tradition, ancestry and legacy. It is no coincidence then that our 2014 Heritage is named in honour of the tradition in which it is crafted, the estate from which the fruit is grown and the legacy we hope it will lead.
The bright acidity that Ontario is known for remains present in this wine, while the tannins have softened and smoothed out. This wine’s initial aromas of jammy black cherry and rich, dried blackberry evolve into bolder notes of chocolate, leather and sweet spice. The tannins gather and develop as you enjoy this wine. Aging in French oak for two years, the finish to this wine remains elegant and silky smooth.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Cabernet Franc is often called the “grape of Ontario”. It manages to thrive here and produces wines that are fully expressive of our unique – and often frustrating – terroir. Using only Cabernet Franc for this vintage, the wine was carefully crafted using the appassimento method, as well as extended neutral oak and bottle aging, resulting in a release nearly four years after harvest.
Though we welcome all guests, we recommend reservations so that we may provide every guest with a rich one-on-one experience. Groups of 4 or more, please give us a call or email us to reserve.
